HDPE Bottles
HDPE (high-density polyethylene) plastic bottles offer a mildly stiff impact-resistant bottle, with a great moisture barrier. The HDPE plastic bottles are available in multiple shapes and sizes. These plastic bottles are also available in natural, white, and amber and are available with a variety of closure options.
HDPE is a high-density plastic that is very stiff, has a good temperature resistance and a very good water vapour barrier. PET plastics are highly transparent in appearance, available in different colours, lightweight and tough against gases and liquids. PET is also highly resistant to diluted acids, oils and alcohols.
HDPE products are safe and are not known to transmit any chemicals into foods or drinks, making this plastic a low health risk variety, according to Chemical Safety Facts. This plastic is most often used for milk or water jugs, laundry detergents and shampoo bottles.
